What is Reman?
Remanufacturing is a comprehensive and rigorous industrial process by which a previously sold, leased, used, worn, or non-functional product or part is returned to a “like-new” or “better-than-new” condition, from both a quality and performance perspective, through a controlled, reproducible, and sustainable process.
Alternative Business Furniture produces and provides high quality remanufactured systems furniture while maintaining a commitment to our environment.
Our commitment begins with acquiring systems furniture that would have otherwise been thrown in the garbage. Our remanufacturing process helps to conserve energy and natural resources. We use products that are environmentally friendly, such as water based paints and glues in place of harmful solvents base products. To save packaging materials such as cardboard and styrofoam, we recycle misprinted or flawed fabrics by wrapping our painted products for protection during transportation to the job site.
Each recycled workstation diverts approximately 800 lbs. of waste from our landfills.
We ask you to join us in this commitment by purchasing remanufactured in lieu of new systems furniture.
